Why we started
Buying a large shed means comparing companies that sell very different things. One quote is a kit delivered to site, another includes the slab and erection, and a third is a design-and-construct contract. Working that out usually means reading a dozen websites and making a lot of phone calls. We do that research once and present it side by side.
Who does the research
Listings are researched and written by the Compare Sheds editorial team. We work from public sources: each company's own website, licensing and accreditation information, evidence of completed projects and customer feedback such as Google ratings. Every fact on a listing is linked to where it came from.
We're researchers, not engineers or builders, so we don't give engineering or legal advice. For your specific site, your builder, engineer or a private building certifier is the right person to ask.
How we're funded
The site may earn money from clearly labelled sponsored placements and from passing project enquiries to builders. That never changes who is listed, the editorial order or what we write. See our advertising disclosure.
Coverage
We're starting with Queensland: Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg. We'll add more areas where there's demand.
Corrections
If you run a listed business and something is out of date, or you think we've missed a builder, contact us. We check every correction against a source before changing a listing.
